StoGda performed, for the Moeschle company, strength calculations for various types of insert tanks installed on ships. The calculations included the strength, fatigue, vibration analysis and thermal effects.

Types of analyzed tanks:

Decanter Balance Tank, Balance Tank,  Hot water tank, Oly Pep Tank, soap tank ,Anty-oxydant, Enzyme Dosing Tank, Balance Tank, Balance Tank, Hydrolyzing Tank, Inactivation tank, ConcSoap Tank.

The projects were realized for SCANSHIP AS, Norway in 2021.

StoGda performed 3D models and workshop documentation for various types of incinerators that are finally installed on ships.

Since 2017, StoGda has been participating in the preparation of documentation for mega-blocks, i.e. parts of a cruise passenger vessels, built at the Crist shipyard for the Chantiers de l’Atlantique.

StoGda performed industrialization in a 3D hull model, hull workshop documentation and industrialization of outfitting (for F34 and G34).

The project P315 was realized for Crist Shipyard, Poland in 2020÷2022.

The new battery hybrid double ended ferry ALTERA, modern and ecological vessel, was ordered by the Finnish shipowner Finferries. The name Altera means proud, excellent.

ALTERA is 104 meters long, 15,2 meters wide and have a draft of 3.5 meters and can accommodate 92 cars and the maximum number of passengers is 375.

Equipped with a battery capacity of 2 x 0.6 MWh, Altera will service its route using only its own batteries which are charged directly from shore while loading and unloading. Diesel generator sets will serve as a backup source of power.

Battery-hybrid ferry Elektra was the inspiration for the Altera project and Altera is a significantly improved version of Elektra. Improvements have been made for example in the technology used for the charging of the batteries and in the hull hydrodynamic, which results in a more energy efficient vessel.

ALTERA will start operating on the Pargas – Nagu route no later than 1.1.2023.

StoGda supported the LMG Marin design office in Basic Design and was responsible for the complete Workshop Documentation and As-Built Documentation in full scope and for all disciplines. StoGda also supervised the building.

The project Hybrid Tourist Catamaran was realized for Proteh Glassdeep, Poland in 2019.

A fully independent tourist and passenger unit with a steel structure, catamaran layout. On the main deck there is a passenger lounge closed with a glass dome. Below the main deck are two passenger lounges with underwater windows allowing the observation of flora and fauna underwater. The catamaran is designed for coastal voyages.

The task of the unit will be to make approx. 3-hour cruises with max. a group of 36 passengers, this two-hour slow maneuvering with maximum draft, e.g. around reefs to observe underwater flora and fauna.

The innovative features of the unit are:

– Hybrid drive.

– Superstructure covered with bent mineral glass.

– Underwater windows with panes made of bent mineral glass, fully secured automatic flaps with hydraulic drive.

The hybrid drive will enable sailing to the fauna and flora observation area using diesel engines and moving within the fauna and flora observation area using only the drive electricity.

The hull of the unit allows the installation of the lower 4 observation windows in the passenger lounges each side, with a size of at least 1.5 m2 each. Underwater windows shall be sealed side covers with hydraulic drive. Window flaps open/raised when stationary craft or vessel traveling at 2 knots allow passengers to observe wildlife and underwater flora through underwater windows.

StoGda was responsible for Conceptual Class Design of the unit.

The project SC75 – Multi Purpose Live Fish Carrier AQUA TROMØY was realized for CRIST shipyard, Poland in 2017÷2018.

The vessel is used to transport fish from sea farms to the processing plant on land and is operated in the areas of the North Atlantic and the Pacific.

The vessel is highly automated and is manned by the crew of 10. The tanks are used for transport of live salmons.

Main characteristics:

– 75.70 m length overall

– 15 m breadth

– 8 m depth.

StoGda prepared Workshop Documentation in all design groups, i.e. hull structure, hull outfitting, architecture, machinery, piping and electrical.

The project NB70 was realized for Crist Shipyard, Poland in 2017÷2019.

The single ended Ro-Ro passenger ferry HERJÓLFUR  was ordered by Vegagerðin, Icelandic Road and Transport Authority . The ferry operate as a multi-purpose Ro-Ro passenger ferry for the transportation of passengers, cars, busses and road trailers in domestic national traffic in Icelandic, on the connection between Landeyjahöfn and Vestmannaeyjar.

The ferry is ready for transport 550 passengers and the load line length is 339,8m.

HERJÓLFUR power source is hybrid diesel electric drive with generators power 4500kW, batteries power 4000kW.

StoGda was responsible for Basic Design, Workshop Documentation and As-Built Documentation in full scope and for all disciplines.

The project P310 was realized for shipyard Crist, Poland in 2016÷2017.

The Modern Hybrid Double Ended Ferry ELEKTRA, second battery ferry in Europe, was ordered by FinFerries. The ferry operates the road between Parainen and Nauvo in Finland and is ready for transport 90 cars and 372 passengers. ELEKTRA’s power source consists primarily of batteries that are charged with shore power each time the vessel calls to port. In addition to the batteries, the ferry runs on back-up diesel power that can be use in such circumstances as challenging ice conditions or in the case of a power cut.

StoGda was responsible for delivery complete design, including Contractual Design, Basic Design, model tank tests (including maneuverability lake test and ice tank tests), Workshop Documentation and As Built Drawings.

Naming Ceremony was held on 29^th May 2017 in Turku, Finland.

The project IMO II Tanker for Oil and Chemicals 17.500 DWT STEN ODIN was realized for Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co., China in 2015÷2016.

STEN ODIN is the first in a series of modern chemical tankers built in China for Norwegian shipowners. The second sister unit, Sten Tor, was also built on the basis of this project.

The vessels are adapted to the new requirements for air purity and lower fuel consumption. They have modern shape – semi-v as well low ballast, dual fuel, ice class, IMO Tier II. Low resistance and good shape of the hull with good propulsion efficiency ensure economical work at all drafts.

StoGda completed Basic Design, subcontracted the model tank test and prepared part of As-Built Documentation.

The project RAL 108 was realized for Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting, Poland in 2014÷2015.

The vessel is one from the serries of three sizes (medium size) ordered by Royal Arctic Line, Denmark in Remontowa.

StoGda was responsible for Basic Design (class documentation of deck equipment, machinery and piping systems) and Detail Engineering (complete workshop documentation of hull structure including superstructure, deck equipment, machinery and piping system including 3D coordination).

It is second our project of Arctic Container Vessel for the same Client and the same Owner – previous one was realized in 2003 (see our Reference List).

Project realized for Hydroster (now Remontowa Hydraulic Systems), Poland in 2013÷2014.

Project realized for MGI Thermo, Norway and concerns two sister vessels.

Concept of insulation details was prepared by MGI Thermo. StoGda was responsible for preparing Basig Design and Workshop Documentation of five (5) cargo holds insulation for 1st vessel.

The vessels were built in Chinese Yard TSUJI.

Originally the hull of the yacht was built in yard Sevmash, Russia. We were engaged by yard Blohm + Voss Repair, Germany to development of Basic Design documentation (piping and machinery outfitting).

When the hull was towed to Germany for finishing, an accident occurred – during a heavy storm the hull tore away from the tug and ran ashore in Vesterålen, Northern Norway. The hull was damaged and needed repairs. However the range of damages was huge and the Owner decided to build the yacht from the beginning with implementing some extra modification into the project, like changing main dimensions and adding bow bulb.

New situation extended our scope of works into Basic Design documentation (hull, piping and machinery outfitting) and Detail Engineering (workshop documentation of hull structure, 3D coordination, piping and machinery outfitting).

The yacht was finished and handed over to the Owner in 2013.
